Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCECIL GERARD McNICOL Cecil Gerard, born at Moose Lake, MB on May 18, 1921, passed away peacefully November 3, 2001, aged 80, at Langley Memorial Hospital. Served 1942 to 1946 in England with the Royal Canadian Engineers. After the war he worked at Flin Flon Mining and Smelting. In 1953 he moved his family to Winnipeg, where he worked at Gypsum Lime, the Canadian Airforce Base, Manitoba Cold Storage and was Chief Engineer of the new Winnipeg International Airport for many years. In 1967, he took his family to BC where he worked for the Vancouver Airport and Mount Saint Josephs Hospital. He retired from Surrey Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Florence, his daughter Vada, sons, Frank, Ted and Robert, his sister June McDonald and brother Jim. He is predeceased by his daughter Annabelle and two brothers, Ernest and Francis. His love of life and wonderful sense of humour will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
