Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOUGLAS CHARLES STIFORA Suddenly on November 15, 2001 Douglas Charles Stifora passed away at home at the age of 56. Douglas will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by Joan, his wife of 30 years; daughters Kirsten (Justin) Shrawder of Cape Coral, FL and Jodi of Winnipeg; and by his only grandchild Jeremy Douglas Shrawder, the apple of his eye. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Katherine Sheard of Thompson; brother Brian (Dorothy), Amber and Ashley of Calgary; sister-in-law Carol Stifora, Danny and Kelly of Winnipeg and Andrew of Vancouver; sisters-in-law, Karen Marendiuk of Calgary, Chris Raabel of Winnipeg, Thelma Raabel of Saskatoon and Vivian Raabel of Red Deer; nephew Ryan Marendiuk and nieces, Tricia and Olivia Osachoff, and other numerous friends and relatives. Doug was predeceased by his father Joseph and his brother Donald. Doug was born on May 22, 1945 in Winnipeg, where he spent his entire life. Doug loved sports. Throughout his life, he enjoyed playing hockey, baseball, golf and curling. He was also a fan of virtually every other sport known to man. He will be remembered golfing with his family and friends, enjoying the Florida sunshine on vacation, playing with his grandson, and for his big heart and sarcastic sense of humour. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301- 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8. Gone but not forgotten.
