Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD JOSEPH DUTKA 1927 - 2001 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our cousin Edward on Thursday, November 15, 2001. Edward was predeceased by his father Nicholas, mother Sophia and sister Violet Jamieson. Prior to Eds passing he spent quiet days in the surroundings he loved so much. He enjoyed simple pleasures such as his daily crosswords. Those who knew him were impressed with his distinguished character and intellect. Ed served in the Second World War with HMCS Chippawa and after the war became a regular army member with the Fort Gary Horse. He enjoyed an illustrious career retiring as a Major. He was very proud of his military career. Ed went on to a successful sales career with Libby, McNeil retiring in the 80s. He is survived by his cousins, Gladys Wywiurka, Violet Rawluk, Ed and Violet Yablecki, Joe Yablecki, Edna and Bill Chomyn and George Blasky; special cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Rt. Rev. Mitrat J. Holowaty officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Yablecki, Ken Chomyn, Lou Lechman, Darren Bayluk, Gary Sebastian and Gordon Watters.
