Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE DAVISON (nee SUTTER) Peacefully on Thursday, November 15, 2001 Irene Davison passed away at Central Park Lodge. She was predeceased by her father Sam Sutter in 1972, mother Margret Sutter in 1967 Sutter in 1967 and sister Margaret "Peggy" Mollison (Sutter) in 1996. Irene is survived by her husband Sam Davison; niece Debbie Covernton; nephew Bruce Millison; grand-nieces, Gillian Covernton and Leigh Mollison; and grand-nephews, Sean Covernton and Scott Mollison. Irene was born in Winnipeg, in Elmwood in 1921 and attended St. Johns High School. She loved sports and played baseball, basketball and golf as well as being a speed skater. Irene worked most of her life for Safeway where she retired as Payroll Supervisor. Irene had many friends and was active in the IODE. Irene and her husband Sam were a very outgoing couple. Together they enjoyed many social activities such as dancing, pop concerts, the ballet, world tours and travelling. Irene was an exceptionally strong person, mentally and physically and overcame many life challenges. The last years of Irenes life were spent battling Alzheimers Disease which she did with the same courage she brought to every other aspect of her life. She will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Winnipeg, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Public viewing will begin twenty minutes prior to the service time.
