PHILIP TENCHA, SR. On Wednesday, November 14, 2001 after a brief illness, Philip Tencha, Sr. passed away at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 91 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Rose; his six children, Joan, Gerald (Doreen), Marilyn (Andy), Philip, Jr. (Claire), Gary (Wendy), Jacqui; 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Philip was predeceased by his mother, father, three brothers, and one sister. Philip was born in La Salle, MB on February 2, 1910. He married Rose Frankowski, June 6, 1936 in St. Norbert where they lived all their life. Philip farmed in the St. Norbert area all his life as well as serving his community as secretary treasurer of the local school board, councillor, and Reeve of the municipality of Ritchot. After retirement Philip and Rose traveled to their winter home in Florida and enjoyed many visits from friends, children, and grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated, on Monday, November 19 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Josephs Church on Red River Dr., in St. Norbert with Fr. Spyrka officiating. Viewing will take place half hour prior to service. Interment to follow in St. Josephs Cemetery with pallbearers, Greg Remillard, Perry Remillard, John Tencha, Chris Tencha, Paul Tencha, and Rollie Remillard. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice in his memory. Thank you Dad for many years of love you have given us. You will always be in our hearts. P. COUTU & CO.
