MARGUERITE (MORISSETTE) CHOQUETTE January 20, 1916 - November 16, 2001 With much sadness, the family of Marguerite Choquette announce her passing. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Eliane (Rene Andre), Guy (Lynda), Alan (Rose Marie) and Norman (Francine) her sister Gilberte Wanlin (Louis) her grand-children, Joanne Hatherley (David), Laura Choquette (Norbert Blach), Nicolle Choquette (Douglas Henry), Gregory Choquette (Darcie), Steven Choquette (Jodie), Paul Choquette, Jacques Procca, Jan Procca, Michael Procca and Andrew Procca (Marianne) and also her great grandchildren, Jason and Mark Hatherley, Crystal and Kurt Blach, Kyle and Tyra Choquette, Cecilia, Philomena, Rosalyn and Jacinta Procca; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Marguerite was predeceased by her beloved husband Henri Joseph Choquette, November 8, 1996. Born in Fannystelle, MB to Archille and Alice Morissette, Marguerite met and married Henri Choquette, November 14, 1938. They lived in Ste. Anne, MB, and for many years on Horace Street in St. Boniface, where her children and grandchildren remember many happy times and family gatherings. Grandma knew what type of treat each of her children and grandchildren preferred and in her pantry, she always kept cookies and goodies for each. She cherished her grandchildren, and her greatest pleasure was holding each newborn descendant. For thirty years, Marguerite worked at St. Boniface General Hospital. She joined Henri in retirement in 1981, and they spent many happy hours tending their lovely garden. When Henri became ill and entered a nursing home Marguerite moved to La Tour Eiffel Apartments on Goulet Street where, for five years, she filled the window sills and balcony with her beautiful flowers. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, November 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion St. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 21 at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, 480 McKenzie St. Interment will follow in the Fannystelle Cemetery. Many thanks to the nursing and pastoral care staff of 6E, St. Boniface Hospital for all the kindness and compassion they have given to our mother. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be sent to St. Boniface General Hospital Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave. Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. Go in Peace with God Grandma, we love you. P. COUTU & CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 156 Marion Street 949-4864
