I am sorry I am 18.5 years late to write this as I just read about the passing of Jean online. I was a good friend of Jean's son Miles between about mid 1976 to 1979 and I spent a lot of time at their house on Andrews and Church St. During that time and you could not have met a nicer more down to earth happy/funny person then Jean. As the above tribute said her house was always open to family and friends as I can attest to, as she welcomed me into her house at all hours of the night or day, like I was 1 of her children. I remember her telling us stories about her past and Miles along with his sisters Charlene (turk) and Peggy the 2 I knew best in their family. We would have rip roaring laugh fests along with Jean herself who had the most incredible high pitched funny laugh you could imagine. She could make anyone laugh or at least make anyone happy for a moment anyway, after hearing it. I spent some of my happiest moments and years in my late teens during that time in the late 70's and Jean M. will always be so fondly remembered for contributing to that. I find it comforting knowing her final resting place is the same as my both my parents Alice + Wilf Jansen at Green Acres. I don't know what I would give to hear just one more of your hearty world class laugh's Jean...RIP and Thank you again for your kindness to me.
