DOROTHY LILY WICKBERG (nee BARTLETT) It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on November 17, 2001. She will be forever remembered by Howard, her husband for 57 years; her daughter Wendy Erlendson, son-in-law Chris; grand-children, Jarrod, Jillian and Christopher and great-granddaughter Elyssa; her son John, daughter-in-law Janis and grandchildren, Rena, David and wife Kirsten; her sister Beulah Craig, brother-in-law Jim Ross, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Fred Bartlett, mother Annie Bartlett Dunn, stepfather George Dunn; her sister Winnifred, brother Fred and sister-in-law Edee. Dorothy was born on Easter Sunday, March 27, 1921. She grew up in the Fort Rouge area and at an early age, became a member of Crescent Fort Rouge Church and taught Sunday School there for many years. As a leader of the Explorers and a member of the Young Peoples Group, she had many happy memories of good times and good friends. She worked at Osler, Hammond and Nanton until her marriage. In 1944, she married Howard Wickberg and devoted her life to their family. She adored her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter! Mammas most precious memories were spent with her family. She loved to cook and delighted in making special treats for all to enjoy at every occasion. In accordance with Dorothys wishes, cremation has taken place. A service of memory will be held at the lake at later date. Even though you have been called away, your love and memory will forever remain and hold a special place in our hearts. Mammas parting prayer was for her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. "My children, the time for me is truly past I have loved you all to the very last Weep not for me, but courage take And love one another for my sake." AFTERGLO Id like the memory of me to be a happy one, Id like to leave an after glow of smiles when life is done. Id like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright sunny days. Id like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun, Of happy memories that I leave when my life here is done. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Cancer Care and at St. Boniface Hospital. The family gratefully declines flowers. Arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOMES LTD. Ashern-Lundar 1-204-768-2072
