DAVID DYCK Peacefully, with his family by his side, David Dyck, aged 92, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2001, at his residence. Katie Dyck, his wife of almost 67 years, predeceased him in May, 2001. David is survived by Lois Dyck of Winkler, Alice (Jake) Epp of St. Norbert, Frank (Lorna) of White Rock, B.C., Abe (Frieda) of Port Rowan, ON, Arnold (Ollie) of Oakville and Harold (Jane) of Abbotsford, B.C., 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. For 25 years David served the Newton Mennonite Brethren Church as pastor and assistant pastor and later served as chaplain at Donwood Manor for 12 years. He is loved and fondly remembered by many friends and relatives. Viewing and a devotional service will be held on Tuesday, November 20 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. and at the church prior to the service. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 21 at 1:00 p.m. at the Portage Avenue Mennonite Brethren Church, 1420 Portage Ave., with interment to follow in the Oakville Cemetery at 4:30 p.m. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan or to Donwood Manor, available at the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
