MORRIE DENTON With deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Morrie Denton, husband, father, and grandfather, on November 19, 2001, at the Grace Hospital. He was predeceased by his infant son; brothers, Harold and Wilson; grandchild Scott Morrier and infant grandson. His memory will be lovingly cherished by his wife of 61 years, Fern; his sons, Russ (Tessa) and Neil (Sharon) his daughter Susan (Nelson) Rowe; grandchildren, Patricia (Pierre-Francois), Michael, Christie, Karly, Craig, and Ryan; great-grandchild Daphne; sisters, Vera Joseph and Irene Senior; brother Don (Vicky) numerous nieces and nephews; as well as their extended family Mal and Louisa Hughes and their children, Kelly-Rose and Aaron. Morrie was born on April 19, 1913 in London, England and came to Canada at age two. The family homesteaded at Amaranth, MB until 1920 and then moved to Winnipeg. Morrie worked for the Hudson Bay Co., Northern Paint, and Merchants Consolidated. He served in the Second World War in Canada at Pat Bay, Victoria. Special thanks to the staff of 5 North at the Grace Hospital for the care given. Flowers are gratefully declined, should friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Memorial service for Morrie will be held on Thursday, November 22 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre.
