Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySARAH HIEBERT 1908 - 2001 Peacefully, on November 9, 2001, Sarah Hiebert of Duncan, B.C., passed away with her family by her side. Sarah was born in Glencross, MB, on July 21, 1908 and was predeceased by her husband Jake (1963) daughter Susan (1967) grandsons, Rodney (1982) and Darrell (1993). Lovingly remembered by her family, son Earle (Joan) Hiebert of Winnipeg; daughter Doris McDowell of Victoria; grandchildren, Sandra (Wray) Johnson and Brenda (Steve) Oetting of Winnipeg, Joy (Ron) Clarke of Abbotsford, B.C., Linda, Carla, Debbie, Michael Flint, of Vancouver Island, Randy (Anita) of Salmon Arm, B.C. Sarah has also left to mourn her sister Betty Giesbrecht of Winkler, Manitoba; 22 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; and numerous cousins. Sarah found great joy in her family and home and was able to create beauty and order wherever she lived. After bringing up her own family she took on the challenge of raising five of her grandchildren until she retired in 1973. Blessed with a wonderful sense of humour, she was renowned for her wonderful cooking and was an avid craftsperson. Sarah was a Christian woman who drew great strength from her faith and belief in God and Eternal Life. Sarah resided in Winnipeg until 1968 when she moved to B.C. for the balance of her life. A Celebration of Sarahs life was held in B.C. on November 15, 2001. Interment took place in Mountain View Cemetery. "May She Rest In Peace."
