KATHLEEN (KAY) MARY CAMPANELLI (nee PUFFETT) Peacefully, on Tuesday, November 13, 2001, Kathleen (Kay) Mary Campanelli (nee Puffett) passed away at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. She was born on October 27, 1909 near Baring, SK. Kay will be lovingly remembered by daughter Joyce Bourne; son Tom Campanelli (Lillian) grandchildren, Christa Pennie (Jim) and Ward Campanelli (Kim) and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Dena and Aden; numerous nieces, nephews; as well as cousin May Leslie. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank; parents, Bill and Florence Puffett; and sisters, Mabel Nunn and Mildred Bond. Kay grew up around Baring and in Grenfell, SK and moved to Winnipeg to attend Dominion Business School in 1927. Upon completion of her diploma, she worked for the Dominion Bank where she met future husband, Frank. They married in 1940 and raised their family in Regina and Winnipeg. In 1966, Franks final transfer with the Toronto Dominion Bank moved them to Toronto. Following Franks death in 1977, Kay returned to Winnipeg. Kay had a strong sense of family and community and was an avid volunteer throughout the years. She was always an active member in the Anglican Church and served on numerous committees and projects. She and Frank enjoyed square dancing and travelling in North America and Europe. Both were enthusiastic members of horticultural societies in Winnipeg and Toronto. Kay loved to garden and had a special talent for growing flowers and floral arrangements. Viewing will be held on Sunday, November 25 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 232 Kennedy St. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 26 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Lukes Anglican Church, 130 Nassau St., North, with The Rev. R. L. Brownlie officiating. Interment will follow in Garry Memorial Park, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Kay may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation at 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8 or to a charity of ones choice.
