GENEVIEVE E. RUMBLE Peacefully at Deer Lodge Centre on November 22, 2001, Genevieve (Brown) Rumble passed away at the age of 91 years. Nicknamed Brownie as a child by her father she remained Brown to her family and friends. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Barbara Campbell (husband Bill) and Lynne Burns (husband Colin). Her seven grandchildren have had the privilege of knowing and enjoying her for many years and Nana reciprocated that love. She will be remembered with humour and love by them, Jane Kesselman (husband Murray), Michael McIsaac (Tilly), Patrick McIsaac, Leah Carlson, Cindy Townsend, Kathryn Thackray (Scott) Andrea Anderson (Lorne). Mom was delighted in having 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Gordon Boyd and her second husband Gordon Rumble. Mom has led an active and fulfilling life both in Thunder Bay and Winnipeg. She was an ardent golfer belonging to Breezy Bend and then St. Charles Country Clubs. In earlier years she was active in the McKinnon Guild of Childrens Hospital. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway on Saturday, November 24 at 4:00 p.m. The family gives grateful thanks to all the staff of 4 East, Deer Lodge Centre for their loving care during Moms final years. Special thanks to Edith Stephenson, Director. We also thank Darlene Gunness and her agency ladies who cared for Mom. Flowers are gratefully declined but should friends so desire a donation in her memory to the Childrens Hospital of Winnipeg, Research Foundation would be appreciated.
