LAWRENCE ZURCHER After a lengthy illness, Lawrence Zurcher, aged 71 years, passed away at Riverview Health Care Centre. Lawrence was born October 12, 1930 and educated in Einsiedln, Switzerland. He came to Canada March 26, 1952 and worked on a farm in Avonton, ON for 13 months and moved to Winnipeg May 11, 1953. He worked for 11 months at Central YMCA and later worked for Heyman and Schmidt, Prall Construction and Eurocan Masonry in Manitoba and Ontario as a bricklayer. Lawrence retired in 1989 and lived in his cottage at Grand Marais until he moved to Winnipeg, November of 2000. Lawrence was predeceased by his parents Alois Zurcher and Josephine Trutsch. He will be sadly missed by his brother Alois Zurcher and sister Josephine Trutsch; two nephews, Bruno and Max Zurcher, living in Switzerland. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service. A private interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens will be held. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
