WILLIAM HENRY TAUBNER William Henry Taubner of Courtenay, BC, formerly of Winnipeg, MB, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife Christa at his bedside, on Thursday, November 22, 2001, aged 72. Bill is survived by his wife Christa, and by his son of his first marriage Detlev "Dave" Taubner (Laurel) of Winnipeg and by his daughters of his first marriage, Beatrice Taubner of Winnipeg and Corinne Dickinson (Ross) of Surrey, BC; and by his step-daughters, Petra Halischuk (Terry) and Gabriela Davis (Joe) of Winnipeg; and by his grandchildren, Sean and Meagan Taubner, Justin, Lydia, Teresa and Liam Dickinson, Christine and Ashley Halischuk and Erika and Maureen Davis. Bill worked for Architectural Offices in Winnipeg for 15 years, then taught for 17 years Architectural Drafting at the Red River Community College (R.R.C.C.). Bill retired in 1988. He and his wife moved to Courtenay on Vancouver Island the same year, where he, after a lengthy illness, closed his eyes forever. He will leave an empty space in our hearts - until we meet again. "Rest In Peace My Love". Special thanks to all the Home Care nurses, especially Sandi and Valerie, and to Dr. David F. Bowler for his gracious care and understanding during Bills illness.
