Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBLODWEN MARY GRIFFITHS Peacefully on November 22, 2001 Blodwen passed away at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her sisters, Catherine Griffiths and Jenny Rohrer. Her memory will be forever cherished by her sister Edith Grieg; brother-in-law Rudy Rohrer; nieces, Sherrill Wallis (Bill), Pat Runciman (Scott) nephews, Robert (Sue) Grieg and Richard Rohrer (Helen) as well as numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. Blodwen was born on April 10, 1908 in Souris, MB. She received her education in Winnipeg and worked for the City of Winnipeg Tax Department until retiring in 1974. Blodwen loved to travel by train and would make at least two trips a year to Vancouver to spend time with family. She liked to stay active and was involved in bowling, which she was quite good at, the choir at St. Pauls Church and her weekly luncheon with friends at Eatons downtown. Blodwen loved the arts and frequently attended productions of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and opera. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Olson and the nursing staff at Victoria Hospital for their special care and support. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow also at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.
