Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE MARIE MASOTTI (nee MIGNACCA) Mrs. Anne Marie Masotti (nee Mignacca), aged 92 years, a resident of 1110-844 Red River Rd., passed away peacefully in Thunder Bay Regional Hospital - General, on Sunday, November 25, 2001 following a brief illness. Born in Naples, Italy, Anne came to Canada and Winnipeg at the age of two years. She was a lifetime member of the CWL of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Winnipeg and also sang in the church choir. Anne was employed by both Eatons and The Bay bake shops in Winnipeg before moving to Port Arthur in 1955 where she and her husband owned and operated the Holiday Drive-In Restaurant on North Cumberland Street until her retirement. She was a lady who loved family gatherings, spent endless hours crocheting for the Humane Society, making bread and Christmas cakes for her family, always prayed for others to enjoy good health and Anne especially enjoyed her poker games on Saturday nights with special friends. Sadly left to mourn and will be missed by her daughter Maria (Don) Mackett of Thunder Bay; two sons, Joe (Pam) Masotti of Winnipeg, MB and Anthony (Jane) Masotti of Brandon, MB; nine grandchildren, John Mackett, David (Valerie) Mackett, Michael (Mirella) Mackett, Paul (Charleen) Mackett, Sherrie (Drew) Larsen, Joel Masotti, Mark Masotti, Christopher (Kathy) Masotti, Jacqueline (Jerry) Smith; eight great-grandchildren, Ryan and Brittany Mackett, Mitchell and Collin Mackett, Elaine and Kyle Larsen, Tianna Masotti and Jamie Walker; sister Rose Sutherland of Winnipeg, MB (enroute). Anne was Auntie Nin to numerous nieces and nephews in Manitoba. She was predeceased by her parents, Tony and Lucia Mignacca; beloved husband Leonardo on July 30, 1979; three sisters, Frances Olien, Carmen Dercola, Mary Scinocca; brother Mark Mignacca; nephew Mickey Mignacca; and niece Lucille Scinocca. Family and friends will gather for funeral mass on Friday, November 30 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthonys Roman Catholic Church, celebrated by Rev. Lino Santi. Entombment will take place in the Assumption Mausoleum, Winnipeg at a later date. Prayers will be offered Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland St. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Annes memory to the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society or to a charity of choice.
