Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJULIE MURASH (STOROZUK) Suddenly, on November 27, 2001, Julie Murash, 82 years, passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Julie was predeceased by her husbands, Sam Storozuk (1972) and Peter Murash (1981) two sisters, Mary Sulymka, Lena Andreychuk; and one brother Walter Shewchuk. She leaves to mourn her passing her three sons, Les (Natalie) Storozuk, Len (Olga) Storozuk and David Storozuk; grandchildren, Christopher, Karen Woloski (Mike), Marc (Nicole), Thomas, Jennifer Miousse, Kristi Beilner (Scott), Paul, Scott, Jay and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Colton, Austin and Jordan. She also leaves her four sisters, Marjorie Statkewich, Anne Pasternak (Willie), Pauline Norosky (Joe), Helen Shewchuk and Madge (Nadia) Baril. Julie was born in Ozerna, MB, January 21, 1919 to parents Stephen and Anastasia Shewchuk. She married Sam in 1944 and moved to Winnipeg where they raised three sons and spent many happy years enjoying family gatherings with sisters, nieces, nephews and in-laws. Sam passed away in 1972. In 1976 she married Peter Murash with whom she traveled to Europe, Jerusalem and Hawaii. She was always an active member of the Ukrainian Catholic Community, originally at St. Andrews, then Blessed Virgin Mary and eventually joining St. Josephs. She was a member of St. Josephs Womens League and Seniors Club, taking part on many committees - Altar Guild and Fellowship. Her favourite pastimes included gardening, reading, bowling, bingo, playing cribbage with her grandchildren and watching All My Children. Julie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family meant the world to her. Hers was truly a rare and special spirit - one who gave unselfishly of herself and enriched the lives of all who knew and loved her. We will always love you Mom, Baba, and Great Baba. The family wishes to thank paramedics and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital Emergency for their care and compassion and Fr. Dybka for being with her children at the time of her passing. Thank you also those who have expressed their condolences, concern and support. Prayers will be held on Sunday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, December 3 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church with Rev. Fr. Boris Kyba, C.Ss.R. officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Julies memory to Welcome Home, in care of St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R2V 0M6. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
