Change in Time of Service DAISY ELIZABETH HOLMES Peacefully, on Thursday, November 29, 2001, Daisy Elizabeth Holmes passed away at the Donwood Manor at the age of 90 years. She will be missed by her husband of 70 years, Reginald James Holmes; her son, Harry (Gladys) Holmes of BC; three grandsons, Robert (Aida) of BC, Douglas (Sandra) of Winnipeg and Glen (Kim) of Winnipeg; two great-grandchildren Lauren and Morgan of BC and by several nieces and nephews. Daisy was predeceased by her grandson Michael and by two brothers and two sisters. Daisy was born in Winnipeg on November 11, 1911. She married Reginald in 1931 and remained in Winnipeg for the duration of her life. Daisy was a devoted wife and mother who loved their annual winter vacations in Texas. She loved travel and garden, and was a very proud homemaker who was dedicated to her family and church. Daisy was a life-long member of St. Saviour Anglican Parish. There will be a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4 in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway with the Rev. R. S. Condo and the Rev. Ray McMurray officiating. Interment will follow in St. Pauls Anglican Church Cemetery. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Donwood Manor for the compassionate and professional care Daisy received during the past eight years.
