Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES NORMAND Suddenly on November 29, 2001 at the age of 68, James Normand passed away in his sleep at Concordia Hospital. He leaves his loving wife Lorna of 45 years and his three children, Nancy Ward Normand, Lori Sabo Normand, Phil Normand; his favorite daughter-in-law Lori Falk Normand; son-in-law Barry Sabo; his six grandchildren, Holly Sabo, Libby Ward, Kevin Sabo, Jamie Normand, Keli Normand; brothers, Phil Normand and wife Norma, George Normand; and sisters, Mary Jane, and Martha Tweedy and husband Dave; the many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and his dog Bear. Jim was born May 4, 1933 in St. Vital. He was employed at Parkdale till he retired in 1997. Jim was a loving and devoted family man with a great sense of humor and a big heart. He played Santa Claus with his wife Mrs. Claus for 26 years together bringing happiness and joy not only to his children and grandchildren but to hundreds of little ones. He coached baseball and hockey and was always eager to watch his kids and grandkids play, whether baseball, hockey, soccer or T-ball. He loved to play Bingo and got great pleasure in teasing and making everyone laugh. Jim has gone to join his brother Joe Normand and sister-in-law Ann Cutting Normand. He will be greatly missed but always loved. We wish to express our thanks to the doctors and nurses at Concordia, especially thanks to Georgette and Melanie of N3E who treated our husband, father and grandfather with such care and compassion. A special thank you to our daughter-in-law Lori who has always been there for us especially during his illness. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 3 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. Visitation one half hour prior to service. Interment at Brookside Cemetery.
