WILLIAM HILDEBRAND Peacefully on Thursday, November 29, 2001 at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg. William Hildebrand, aged 73 years, beloved husband of Helen Hildebrand of Winnipeg. Born May 17, 1928 at Halbstadt, MB. Surviving besides his beloved wife Helen are four sons, Randy (Shelley), Tom (Lorna), Tim (Wilda), Byron (Lana) nine grandchildren, five brothers, Henry (Susie), Jake (Erna), John (Mary), George (Lena), Ben (Mary) sisters-in-law, Tina and Rena; brother-in-law Herman. There are many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Peter, Isaac, Dick; sisters, Mary and Anne; sister-in-law Helen; brother-in-law Charlie. William worked for a number of years at the Bank of Canada until he retired. He enjoyed woodworking and crafts. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time watching his grandchildren playing baseball. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 4 at 2:00 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall. The service will conclude at the chapel with cremation to follow. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, CancerCare Manitoba or the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
