Born: Jun 17, 1937
Date of Passing: Nov 30, 2001
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANK ALEXIUK With great sadness and tearful eyes we said goodbye to our brother and uncle November 30, 2001. Frank, aged 64, silently drifted off into a everlasting peaceful sleep, free of pain from his battle with cancer. Frank was born on June 17, 1937 at Sundown to George and Stella. He attended Sundown School, left school at an early age to work in bush camps and on the family farm. He continued to farm until his failed health forced him to be hospitalized. As a youth Frank had suffered a hearing disorder, causing his speech impairment. This never prevented him from enjoying social events. He could be heard boasting of his strength and hunting abilities. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and visiting with neighbours and friends. Frank was predeceased by his parents, George and Stella; sister Rose and brother-in-law George. His sudden passing will be greatly mourned by his sister Lillian Shepit; brothers, Alexander, Fred (Olga) his nephews, Eugene, Jerry, Ed (Marilyn), Dennis (Olgi), and Kevin; his nieces, Beverly (Lou), Nancy (John), and Crystal; plus many great-nephews and nieces, family and friends. Prayers will be said on Monday, December 3, 7:30 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, followed by funeral services on Tuesday, December 4, 10:00 a.m. at the St. Elias Ukrainian Orthodox Church at Sirko with Rev. Fr. Myron Pozniak officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinbach. 204-326-1351. VICHNAYA PAMYAT
