Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARJORIE LAURIE Marjorie Laurie passed away peacefully on December 1, 2001. She was born August 5, 1909, and married Robert A. Laurie in 1932. She was predeceased by her husband in 1953 and her son James A. in 1993. Surviving are her daughters, Ruth Laurie, Kathryn (Ed) Polak, Mavis (Lloyd) McCauley and daughter-in-law Tania Laurie and special niece Ellinor Rose; as well as grandchildren, Gwen Polak, Garry Polak, Pat and Gordon Martens, Colleen and Troy Humphrey, Joanne Eckert, Carolanne and Jeff Cadenhead, Valerie Laurie and Rob Ridgen; also great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Kristen and Brittany Martens, Kathleen and Matthew Cadenhead. Marjorie was born in St. James Assiniboia to Nellie M. and Arthur W. Creak. Surviving are siblings, Katheryn Levine, Leal and Rose Creak, Marion and Lawrence Jones, Art and Edna Creak, Hilda Nicol, and May Murray. She was predeceased by Doris Lindsay, Jessie St. Pierre, Ernest Creak, and Ted Creak. Marjorie spent many happy hours outdoors whether at the lake or in the garden or fishing, hiking and snowshoeing. She travelled extensively, visiting family across the continent. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 6 at 2:00 p.m. from Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Flowers are gratefully declined.
