Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHERESE ZACK After a courageous battle with cancer, Mrs. Therese Zack, aged 64, passed into the arms of her Lord on Sunday, December 2, 2001 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Therese will be lovingly remembered by her sons Fred and Wally; her daughter Diane and husband Brad Sacher; by her precious grandsons, Braden, Kyle and David, and by her mother Anne Kuffner. She will also be dearly missed by her brothers and sisters, Jo, Al and Judy, Vic and Suzanne, Fran and Fred, Richard and Geri, Bert and Harv, and Ted and Vera, their families, and many other friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Paul in January 2000; by her father in 1993; and by her brother Rudy in 1995. Therese was born to Emil and Anne Kuffner on September 9, 1937 in Garson, MB. The eldest in a family of eight children living on the family farm, Therese developed an early devotion to caring for others. On June 21, 1958 she married Paul and together they began to raise their family. Whether it was gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking, nursing, or organizing family get-togethers, Thereses mission was to better the lives of her family and friends. She had a nurturing heart and throughout her life she was selfless in her giving, even when her own health was failing. She had a strong and independent but unassuming presence, and was such a caring soul that everyone who entered her home felt like they were family. Therese was especially proud of her children, rejoicing in their successes and supporting them during times of difficulty. Becoming a grandmother was a special joy for her, and she had a special bond with her grandsons, who will miss her dearly. Her last few years were difficult, but her unbreakable spirit and love of life are an inspiration to us. We will miss her terribly, but are comforted knowing that Mom and Dad are together again, free of pain and sorrow, and that someday we will all be reunited. Prayers will be said on Thursday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue East, Beausejour. Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, December 7 at 11:00 a.m. also at the Chapel, with Rev. Fr. Walter Klimchuk officiating. Interment will follow at the Beausejour cemetery.
