BARRY LLOYD BOWMAN 1935 - 2001 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Barry, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, on Saturday, December 1, 2001, at the Health Sciences Centre. He will be fondly remembered by his loving wife June of 40 precious years; son Allan (Donna) daughters, Tannis (Dan), Cheryl (Terry), and Brenda (fiance Tony) grandchildren, Mandy, Kiera, Riley, Leona, Carson, Christina, Dillon, Robert and especially Ryan. Also remembering him with love are his brothers, Murray and wife Marylin Bowman, Dale and wife Alice Bowman, Keith and wife Adeline Bowman; sisters, Doreen, Joyce and husband Lawrence Marks, Maxine and husband Barry Leach, Donna and husband Victor Yeo; sisters-in-law, Elaine Bowman and Myrtle Meyers; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Laura and Daniel; brothers, Ken, Bruce, Raymond; sisters, Joan and Connie; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Bowman and brothers-in-law, Eugene Schaffer and Floyd Meyers. Barry was born November 27, 1935, in Teulon, MB. He was raised in Gunton and received his education at Gunton High School. At a young age he joined his brothers Ken and Bruce and worked in the logging industry in Red Lake, ON. Later he owned a landscaping business in Winnipeg and later retired. Barry had a passion for cooking. Barry loved to go ice fishing in the winter and also take the boat out in the summer in Lac Du Bonnet. He loved to grow tomatoes of every kind imaginable and liked to plant flowers and plants. He also had a hobby of making ornamental butterflies out of wood. His most pleasurable time was spent with family and playing with the grandchildren. At Christmas he loved to dress up as Santa Claus for the kids. Prayers will be held Tuesday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5 at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Rev. Mary Best will officiate. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Barrys memory to the charity of ones choice. MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
