Mom was born November 26, 1927 in Winnipeg. In 1943, Mom moved to Ottawa and worked as a secretary for the R.C.M.P. where she met her husband, Webster Walls. They were married February 28, 1948 at which time she began her lifelong career of raising her family. In 1952, Mom and Dad moved to Manitoba where they raised their children. She enjoyed crosswords, puzzles and the game of scrabble, rarely losing. Mom was very adventurous, having hiked the Mantario Trail, tubing on the Apple River, motorcycling and snowmobiling, along with camping, winter campfires and waterslides.
