JOHN ARNI JOHNSON On December 4, 2001 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, John Arni Johnson passed away peacefully at 68 years of age. John was born March 16, 1933 at Oakview, MB. He attended the Darwin School after which he stayed on the farm until the mid-sixties. After leaving the farm, he drove truck at Ashern and in Winnipeg. Upon retirement he moved into Columbus Courts where he spent eight happy years. He will be sadly missed by his brother Gusti and family of Darwell, AB, sister Anna (George) of Darwell, and their children, Dawn (Don), Hal (Holly), Deanna (Chris) and John; a special friend Judy Collinson and many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Margret, father John, brothers, Chris and Marvin. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service and burial at Oakview Cemetery will be held in the spring as he requested. Im Free Dont grieve for me, for now Im free Im following paths God laid for me. I took His hand, I heard Him call, and turned and bid farewell to all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work and play, tasks left undone must stay that way I found my peace... at close of day. And if my parting left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss ah yes, these things I too will miss Be not burdened... deep with sorrow, I wish you sunshine for tomorrow. My lifes been full... Ive savoured much, Good friends, good times... a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seemed all to brief, dont lengthen it with undue grief. Lift your heart... and share with me, God wants me now...
