VELMA ABRAMCHUK (YAEGER) On Sunday, December 3, 2001, Mom passed gently into the hands of a merciful God. We, her children, Wayne, Candace, Pam, and Barb, feel great sorrow but also relief that her suffering has ended. Also grieving are brother Roy and Maureen; Jean; Mark; grandchildren, Braden, Emma, Chelsea; Ella and family; and Velmas niece and nephews. Although Velma had a difficult life, she lived with dignity until her passing. A private family internment will take place at Brookside Cemetery. A memorial in Velmas honour will take place Friday, December 7 at 3:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Church, 603 Wellington Cres. (near the Maryland Bridge). Donations in Velmas memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, Quagga Stray Cat Rescue, or a charity of choice. "If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain; If I can ease one life the aching, Or cool one pain, Or help one fainting Robin Unto his nest again, I shall not live in vain" -Emily Dickinson
