Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRIS DIANE FREEMAN On Tuesday, December 4, 2001 Iris Diane Freeman succumbed to her illness. She is survived by her daughter Susan Maher of Toronto, her son Roger Cook of San Diego, her parents, Hugh and Thelma Freeman, and her devoted friend and partner Mark Korytowski. Iris was born December 19, 1943 and raised in West Kildonan. Iris worked as a legal secretary when she first left high school and shortly after her daughter was born, became a devoted stay at home mother until her children reached their late teens. Iris then joined Great West Life where she worked for the last 20 years. Iris had a passion for life and her children, and was well known for her love of gardening and the beauty of her yard. In recent months she received tremendous assistance and support from her family, from Mark, and from her dear friends, Ann, Barney, Joan, Teresa and neighbours, Frank and Anneliese. The family also wishes to thank the staff of the Womens Pavilion for their care over the past few months. A memorial service will be held at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., on Friday, December 7, at 10:00 a.m. with a reception until 12:00. A private family interment will follow. If friends prefer, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society in Iris memory. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
