ALBERT WILFRED SORENSEN December 31, 1903 - December 6, 2001 Peacefully on December 6, 2001, Wilfred Sorensen passed away at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 97 years. Wilfred is survived and will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Molly. He is also survived by sister Pearl Hermanson, brother Alex (Velma) of Toronto and niece Noella (Ken) Broadberry of Winnipeg, as well as many nieces and nephews. Wilfred owned and operated Newway Cleaners for 30 years. His last ten to twelve years of employment were in sales with the Manitoba Motor League. Wilfred was proud of his Danish heritage and he was a member of the Scandinavian Club for 35 years. He and Molly were avid travellers and they enjoyed spending the last ten winters in Arizona. Wilfred also enjoyed golf and had a passion for cars. He and Molly were always together and were always dressed like a gentleman and a lady. The family would like to thank the staff on CD2 at Riverview for the special care given to Wilfred. Their assistance and patience were much appreciated. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverview Health Centre Chapel, 1 Morley Ave. If friends desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, R3L 2P4.
