DONALD PERCY DESJARLIS Passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, December 6, 2001 at the St. Boniface General Hospital, Don Desjarlis, aged 75 years, dearly beloved husband of Lorraine. Don leaves to cherish his memory besides his beloved wife Lorraine, niece Donna Christie, nephew David Zimmer, very close cousin May, and Paul Renaud, and family; Aunty Josephine Desjarlis, as well as numerous cousins. Don was born on Friday, May 28, 1926 in Winnipeg and was raised and educated in St. Laurent, MB. He was an avid outdoorsman, and found great enjoyment in fishing, hunting and camping. Don also had his own business "Desjarlis Painting and Decorating" until he retired in 1986. Cremation has taken place. A service celebrating Dons life will be held on Tuesday, December 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St., with Msgr. Maurice Comeault P.H., V.F., officiating. Private family interment will take place at a later date at St. Vital Cemetery. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Mahtas, and the 6th Floor at the St. Boniface General Hospital, for all the care while Don was in their care.
