Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANK CARL KUPCHIK On Friday, December 7, 2001 at the Selkirk Betel Home, after a brief illness, we lost our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Marie; his son Larry (Patti) and daughter Joyce (Bert) six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; brother Mike; sisters, Rose Ludwick, Lena Meger and Anne Rapko. He was predeceased by his brothers, John, Peter and Alex; and brothers-in-law, Stan Ludwick and Sam Rapko. Frank was born in Fort Francis, ON in 1915 and moved to Manitoba when he was still a child. He married Marie (Popowich) in 1938 and they lived most of their life in the Lockport area. He worked at various jobs including the Manitoba Rolling Mills and then the love of his life, farming. He loved farming, hunting, fishing and traveling. Frank and Marie traveled numerous times to Hawaii, but the place they loved best was Apache Junction in Arizona where they met a lot of old friends made a lot of new friends. When they moved to Selkirk and no longer had a large garden to tend to, he spent everyday fishing. Frank became ill in February of 2001 and at the time of his death was a resident of the Betel Home in Selkirk. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses, staff and friends at the Betel Home for their excellent care to Frank. We would also like to thank Dr. Demas for his kind care and attention. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk with barb james officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of ones choice. You were loved by all and will be sadly missed. Rest in Peace Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
