Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLENA (HELENA) MELLEN 1905 - 2001 It is with great sadness the family wishes to announce the passing of our mother and baba Olena (Helena) Mellen, on December 6, 2001, at the Deer Lodge Centre. Olena will be deeply missed by her daughters, Elizabeth Bedard, Olga Bartkow (Jerry), Jan Zydyk (Fred) her grandchildren, Greg (Linda), David (Karen), Darlene, Bruce (Andrea), Donna, Darrel; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Nicholas in 1969 and son Harry in 1979. Baba always looked forward to her many visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gardening and cooking were her favourite pastimes. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 13 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Interment will take place in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Helenas memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
