JONINA (JOAN) SIGRIDUR THORA STEFANSON December 31, 1910 - December 6, 2001 Peacefully on December 6, 2001 in the Lundar Personal Care Home, our beloved sister and aunt passed away. Auntie Nonnie, as the family lovingly called her, was raised on a small homestead east of Lundar. There she was raised with her two younger sisters and one brother. After schooling, she worked a short time in Lundar, then moved to Winnipeg. There she worked till her retirement from Loblaw and Superstore. In 1995 she moved back to the Lundar district to live. She was predeceased by her parents, one sister and one brother-in-law. Left to cherish her memory are sister Helga and brother Stefan (Agnes), also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, along with many good friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12 at the Lundar Royal Canadian Legion with Pastor Terry Thorndson officiating. Interment to follow at the Otto churchyard cemetery. Following the service and burial, everyone is invited for coffee at the Legion Hall. Pallbearers will be Larry Scharf, Richard Scharf, Jim Scharf, John Stefanson, Dennis Scharf and Lorne Erickson. We would like to thank the Lundar Personal Care Home Staff for all their help and care for our Aunt. In lieu of flowers, if you may desire, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
