Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON THOMAS JONES On December 7, 2001 at St. Boniface Hospital, Gordon Thomas Jones of 2145 Pembina Highway died peacefully at the age of 72 years. Gordon was born in Winnipeg and lived here his entire life, marrying the love of his life in 1955 and spending the next 46 years happily married. Gordon lived for his family and is survived by his wife Jean (Muir) his three children, David (Deb) of Hamilton, Carolyn (Les) of Winnipeg, and Kevin (Carla) of Chilliwack; and four grandchildren who he loved and cherished, Ryan, Jennifer, Brendan and Kaitlyn. He was also survived by his brother Ron (Bev) of Regina. He was predeceased by his mother, father and brother George. Gordon worked for Carlings Brewery, and the Law Society of Manitoba. He was a dedicated member of Broadway Disciples United Church (St. Stephens Broadway United Church) singing in the choir for over 50 years. He also belonged to the Bison Mens Choir until suffering several strokes which forced him to retire from singing. He was also a member of the Stroke Recovery Association of Manitoba Inc. The family would like to thank Dr. Pascoe and the staff in SICU St. Boniface Hospital, the 911 operator, responding paramedics, and fire and rescue. Following a private burial at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 11 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapel, 669 Broadway with Rev. Ray Cuthbert officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Stroke Recovery Association of Manitoba Inc., 1-333 Vaughn St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 3J9.
