Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEARL OLIVE MEECH October 18, 1911 - December 8, 2001 Peacefully, on Saturday, December 8, 2001, Pearl Meech passed away at the age of 90. Pearl was predeceased by her husband Weston in 1995, her daughter Phyllis Johnson in 1994, great-grandson Dennis Jensen in 1995, three brothers, three sisters, three brothers-in-law, and son-in-law Richard Johnson. Pearl is lovingly remembered by her daughter Elaine Cockerill (Claire), of Sanford; her son Gerald Meech (Jane), of Winnipeg; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two sisters, two brothers, one sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Pearl and Weston were married in 1932 in Buchanan, SK. They had 63 years together. In 1938 they moved to Balmoral and farmed there until they retired and moved into Balmoral in 1968. Pearl was proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their accomplishments and activities. She will be missed. Years were spent enjoying her flowers, particularly her geraniums, playing bingo, and her involvement with the U.C.W. A memorial service will be held in the Balmoral United Church on Friday, December 14 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Barbara Ann Anstie officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Allan Johnson, Scott Cockerill, Ken Meech, Marc Nault, Joel Moore, Dennis Mosalowski and Dennis Jensen. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to the caregivers at Gateway Manor, Teulon Hospital and Charleswood Care Centre.
