REVEREND ROGER A. COLL November 4, 1942 - December 10, 2001 It is with great sadness that the Coll family announces the sudden passing of Roger Coll. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 37 years, Laraine; his three daughters, Kathy (Neil), Susan, and Erin (Sean) granddaughter Megan, sister Elizabeth (Tom), and mother-in-law Elsie. Roger was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Christina Coll of Victoria, BC. Roger touched many lives in his 35 years as a United Church minister. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Roger was ordained in 1967 and began his ministry in Climax, SK, followed by Atikokan, ON, then returned to Winnipeg to Transcona Memorial United Church, and Trinity United Church in Fort Richmond. Roger most recently held the position of Executive Secretary of the Manitoba/Northwestern Ontario Conference for the United Church of Canada. He will be remembered for his compassion, integrity, and his love of his faith. His life was filled with music, through numerous church choirs and the Bison Mens Chorus. He was an avid curler with the Chaplains Curling League, and especially enjoyed summers at the cottage at West Hawk Lake, planning and building. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Norwood United Church, 160 St. Marys Rd., Winnipeg, with the Rev. Susan Tough and the Rev. Peter Douglas officiating. The family wishes to express our gratitude to all who have supported us in their prayers and actions, before and after, Rogers short illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Church Mission and Service Fund or to The Memorial Fund at Norwood United Church. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
