Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN (KAY) DOERKSEN Peacefully, on December 11, 2001, Kay Doerksen, aged 73, passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital with family by her side. She was predeceased by her loving husband Abraham in 1995. She will be sadly missed by her children, Judy Doerksen, Pat (Earl) Spencer, Daniel Doerksen, Milton Doerksen and David Doerksen; five grandchildren, Sheryll and Jennilee Doerksen, Brandon and Kelsie Spencer and Lindsay Doerksen; two great-grandchildren, Brianna and Devin Doerksen. She also leaves to mourn her brothers, Jack and Tom Hill and sisters, Lottie Heaps and Hazel Hill. Kay grew up in Stony Mountain, started working at Winnipeg General Hospital and there she met and married Abe Doerksen. Together they raised five children and welcomed over 30 foster children into their home. Kay spent the last two years in the Luther Home, where she made many friends. The family would like to express our appreciation to the Luther Home staff and the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital for their excellent care and loving treatment of our mother. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Pastor Brad Crassweller officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kays memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, R3C 0S6. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
