EDWARD "TED" BACON 1941 - 2001 Suddenly on Friday, December 7, 2001 at Concordia Hospital, our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away at the age of 60 years. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 37 years Sheryl (Jones) daughter Sam (and Jake Friesen) son Todd and five of the greatest grandchildren in the world, Ashley, Justin, Marc, Karleigh and Shey. He also leaves many relatives and friends. Ted was born in Winnipeg April 6, 1941 where he grew up. In 1998 he retired from the Acoustic Ceiling business. He spent the last year and a half at Melrose Park Community Club as their general handyman. He thoroughly enjoyed this job. Family and friends were the most important things to Ted; sharing in many holidays and having a good laugh with everyone. Ted spent many hours tinkering in his workshop, enjoying his cottage at Beaconia and teasing the life out of his grandchildren. He was especially fond of his Three Amigos weekends at the lake. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Melrose Park Community Club at 480 Kimberly Ave. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. The family wishes to thank the Fire Department, Ambulance Attendants, Tristen, Susan and Bobby from the club, staff at Concordia Hospital, especially nephew nurse Jason. Dad: We will truly miss you. Thank you so much for all our memories and filling in our dash. We love you.
