Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN CARSWELL (nee OGG) Jean passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2001 at Extendicare Tuxedo Villa, where she spent her last years unable to cope with Alzheimers disease. She leaves to remember her, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and two sisters-in-law, Mary, widow of Alex, and Christina, widow of Albert. She was predeceased by her husband Bill Carswell, parents, James and Mary Ogg; and four brothers, Alex, George, Bill, and recently Albert. For Jean it will be a happy reunion. Jean was born December 16, 1913 at the farm in the Turtle River district in the municipality of Ochre River. She and Bill were married in June 1960, and Bill was killed as the result of a car accident in July 1973. Jean was also seriously injured, spent some time in hospital, then returned home and on her own, did very well. She made many friends, amongst her neighbours. She joined Regents Park Church and loved and appreciated her association there. She worked hard, baking cookies for shut-ins, hospital visiting, crafts for the bazaar and working at the dinners, attending study groups, always a cheerful willing helper. Thank you to the staff at Tuxedo Villa for their care, kindness and compassion. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 17 at 11:30 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway with Rev. Dr. Paul Campbell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeans memory to Regents Park United Church, 613 St. Marys Rd., or a charity of choice. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
