Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGARRY LEROY JACKMAN 1931 - 2001 On Tuesday, December 11, 2001, at Boundary Trails Health Centre, Garry L. Jackman, aged 70 years, of Winkler, went to his eternal rest. After his marriage to Edna Rose Hildebrand in 1951, Garry worked in many capacities over the years. He was a true entrepreneur. Firstly, at his fathers store, Jackman Bros. in Plum Coulee, then on to Sudbury, ON, as a metallurgist and then they returned to Plum Coulee to farm for over 17 years. He then worked at a number of positions in the town of Winkler. He was employed at Wiebe Funeral Homes during the years of 1985 - 1996, and was very committed as a locksmith and businessman until his passing. Garrys main concern in his life was for his family. He was also very involved in the Trinity Lutheran Church. He leaves to mourn his passing, his beloved wife Edna Rose (nee Hildebrand) daughter Carol Harder Jackman of Penticton, B.C.; and her daughter Joann; two sons, Garth and wife Lori Jackman of Winnipeg and their children, Andrew, Lindsay; Robin and wife Judie Jackman of Toronto, ON, and their children, Sarah, Grant, Shane; sister Ethel and Richard Sprague of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Nora (Don) Jackman of Toronto, ON, and families. He was predeceased by brother Donald Jackman, and sister Clara Moffat. Viewing will be held at Wiebe Funeral Homes Winkler, Thursday 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. Funeral service will be Friday, December 14, 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Winkler (1111 Southview Dr.) with Rev. Fraser Coltman officiating. Interment will follow at Plum Coulee Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Lutheran Church Canada - Centre Dist.
