Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAMELIA (Millie) MOHR (nee SCHMIDT) Peacefully on December 11, 2001 at Golden Door Geriatric Centre at the age of 93. Amelia was born March 14, 1908 in Russia. She came to Winnipeg, Canada in May, 1911. Later she moved to Saskatchewan and eventually moved back to Winnipeg in her late teens. She was married to Simon (Sam) in November, 1935. After Simon passed away in 1984 she remained in their home, still enjoying her cooking and gardening until the age of 84. She then moved to Kirchhoff Gardens until about two years ago when she moved to Golden Door where she still enjoyed working on her puzzles. Amelia was predeceased by her husband Simon, her son Gerald and six siblings. Left to mourn her passing are daughters Eleanor (Guff) Zimmerman, Sharon (Joey) Kropp, daughter-in-law Annie Mohr and seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sister Elsie Buie of Vancouver. The family wish to thank the Golden Door staff for their loving and caring support. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 14 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota St. with Pastor Tim Graff officiating.
