Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAULINE VESEL (nee SHEWCHUK) Peacefully, on December 12, 2001 at Bethania Personal Care Home, our beloved mother and grandmother, Pauline Vesel passed away at the age of 88 years. Pauline leaves to cherish her only son Edward (Mary-Lynne) of Winnipeg; two grandsons, Kevin and Darren (Penny) all of Denver, Colorado and three great-grandchildren, Andrea, Jonathon and Kyana; her sister-in-law Mary Shewchuk of Vancouver; her aunt Anne Shewchuk of Gilbert Plains, cousins, nieces and nephews. Pauline was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Joseph, in December, 1989; her parents, William and Paulina; brother Steve and sister Alice Waywood. Pauline was born in the Mossey River, MB area and at an early age, moved to South Transcona where she attended school. In 1929 she married Joe Vesel, and the couple continued to live in South Transcona most of their married life. Mom loved the outdoors and spent all her summers working hard in the garden and big yard. Winters, she loved her long walks and doing her knitting, crocheting and cooking. Though her greatest joys were the visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to Bethania Personal Care Home for the wonderful care given to her in the past three years. Prayers will be offered Monday, December 17 at 7:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street. Funeral service to follow on Tuesday, December 18 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Michaels Ukrainian Catholic Church, 400 Day Street with Father Andrew Wach officiating. Interment at the family plot, Transcona Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Vesel, Bill Waywood, Michael Harapiak, Nick Harman, Kerry Armit and John Wolfe. Friends will be considered as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Paulines memory may be made to Bethania Personal Care Home, 1045 Concordia Avenue, Winnipeg, R2K 3S7 or to a charity of ones choice. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
