Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAIME DUMAINE September 20, 1918- December 13, 2001 It is with great sadness and with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Aime Dumaine, at the Tache Centre on Thursday, December 13, 2001 at the age of 83 years. Aime was born in Ile-des-Chenes, MB on September 20, 1918. At a very early age, he learned the meaning of hard work. He cultivated his large farm until 1975. He then worked for Manitoba Hydro for 22 years and retired at the age of 72. He made many good friends at Hydro and always enjoyed a good joke and a good laugh. Aime was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus of Ile-des-Chenes, Conseil 5979. Aime is survived by his devoted wife, Annette; and his 13 children, Doris (Dennis) McGurk, Ernest (Jeannette), Raymond (Joanne), Denise (Vern) Lander, Roger, Jules (Ginny), Charles (Pierrette), Dolores (Claude) Trudeau, Diane (Tom) Casson, Paul (Donna), Valere (Darlene), John (Suzanne), Della (Renald) Adolphe; as well as 32 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; and nine foster-grandchildren. Also left to mourn his passing is his brother Armand of Vancouver and his sister Lea (Don) Levesque of St. Vital and his sister-in-law Alice of Edmonton. He will also be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and in-laws in Lorette, MB; his first wifes family and many relatives in California. He was predeceased by his father Ernest and his mother Eva (nee Waelbrock) his first wife Laurence Cournoyer; infant daughter Della; his brothers, Marcel and Leopold; sister-in-law Jeanne. The family thanks the staff at the Tache Nursing Centre (5ABC) for their compassion and kindness extended to Dad throughout his long stay. Also a special thanks to cousin Margot Petit and niece Diane Raynaud, volunteers at the Tache Centre for continually visiting. The family also thanks Father Pierre Dumaine for his visits as well as the Grey Nuns for their help and guidance. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Marcel Carriere in the Notre-Dame-de-la-Misericorde Roman Catholic Church in Ile-des-Chenes, MB on Monday, December 17 at 10:00 a.m. Prayer service and viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will take place in the Ile-des-Chenes Parish Cemetery (with his first wife Laurence) following the mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Aimes memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3C 4G2. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements, 775-2220.
