TINA HARMS With great sadness we announce the passing of Tina Harms "OMI" on Thursday, December 6, 2001 at the age of 82 years old. Omi was born in the Ukraine on September 13, 1919. She was predeceased by her father Johann and mother Maria Wiebe. She grew up in Russia and later married Albert Harms. She and her family moved to Paraguay in 1947 and lived there for 11 years. Omi came with family to Canada in 1958. She found employment at Concordia Hospital where she stayed for 25 years of service until retirement in 1983. Omi will be remembered for her love of God with her family and friends. Omi is survived by her daughter, Waldina (Dave Neufeld) son John (Ruth Harms) and daughter Charlotte (Herbert Liebig) also six grandchildren, Ed Harms, Mark Harms, Lori Cox (Stuart Cox), Evelyn Clark (Peter Clark), Karin Simpson (Rob Simpson), Marlene Liebig and four great-grandchildren, Heather, Army, Matthew, and Eric Clark. She is survived by two sisters, Maria Rempel (Winnipeg) and Anna Mantler (Germany). The funeral service was held on Monday, December 10 at Mennonite Brethren Church, on Portage Ave. Very special thanks to the staff of Concordia Hospital, Riverview Hospital, home care and Klassen Funeral Chapel.
