Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARC RATH February 24, 1950 - December 3, 2001 Suddenly, on Monday, December 3, 2001, Marc Rath passed away at the age of 51 years. Marc was born on February 24, 1950 and raised in Ste. Rose du Lac. During his school years, Marc was involved in sports and drama and also served as an altar boy. He loved to joke and tease and was always the life of the party. Marc loved and raised several horses, "Whiskey" being one of his favourites. He had many interests such as gardening, boating and carpentry and enjoyed singing and playing guitar. Marc especially enjoyed watching his children grow up. He coached hockey and little league. Many special moments were shared with his children at their cabin. Marc enjoyed time with his children around the campfire telling ghost stories and watching the sunset from his kitchen table. He was especially proud of his childrens achievements, watching his daughter graduate from university being the most recent. Marc will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Marc leaves to mourn his passing his three children, Carissa, Isaac and Vergil Rath of Winnipeg; his mother Berthe Rath of Ste Rose du Lac; his sisters, Lois and husband Barry Klimchuk of Ste. Rose du Lac, Fern and husband Hank Masson of Ste. Rose du lac; the mother of his children, Helene Bouvier of Winnipeg; his nephew Jeff Klimchuk (Stephanie) and their children, Keara, Nicholas and Adam; his niece Jennifer Klimchuk; his nephews, Dustin and Darcy Masson; his nieces, Sacha and Emily Masson; along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and co-workers. Funeral service for Marc was held on Friday, December 7 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ste. Rose de Lima Roman Catholic Church. Fr. Michel Nault officiated with the interment following in the Ste. Rose Cemetery where Marc was laid to rest with his father Henry. Marcs fellow employees from MTS formed the honour guard. All of Marcs friends were to consider themselves as honorary pallbearers. Should friend so desire, donations may be made in memory of Marc to Al-Anon. Ste. Rose Memorial Chapel, Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba, had care of arrangements. (204) 447-2444.
