MARTHA STEFFAN July 7, 1910 - December 12, 2001 On Wednesday, December 12, 2001 at the Beacon Hill Lodge in Winnipeg, MB, Martha Steffan passed peacefully. Martha Steffan, aged 91 years, beloved wife of the late Herman Steffan of Winnipeg, formerly of Thalberg, MB. She leaves to cherish her memory her son-in-law, Alfred Klann; grandchildren, Marg (Henry), Glen, Cindy, Darlene (Cliff), Angie (Chris), Geoff (Aly), and Lenora (John) 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Martha also leaves her sisters, Tala Fieblekorn, Rosie Klann; her brother Adolph Patzer. Martha was predeceased by her parents, Herman and Rose Patzer and her husband Herman; her children, Alma Steffan, Lydia Steffan, Agnes Klann, Herby Steffan and Marlene Verwery; brothers, Gottlieb Patzer, Bill Patzer, Fred Patzer, Louie Patzer; sister Lydia Zirk; also by grandchildren, Larry, Rick, Alvin, Bobbie and George. She was born and raised in the Thalberg area and moved to Winnipeg in 1959 where she resided until her passing. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 18 at 11:00 a.m. from the Trinity Lutheran Church, Thalberg, MB with Pastor Arlene Berg officiating. Friends may pay their respects at the Church prior to the services. Interment will be in the family plot in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Geoff Hebb, Neville Klann, Clifford Patzer, Ivan Patzer, Edwin Fey and George Sawchuk. If friends do desire, memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB.
