Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN MUNRO Peacefully on December 14, 2001 at the McCreary / Alonsa Personal Care Home, John Munro passed away at the age of 91. John was predeceased by his brothers, James (Jimmy), Alexander (Sandy) and by his sisters, Edith, Elizabeth (Lizzie) and Alexanderina (Dina). He is survived by his niece Margaret Bliss, nephew Donald Helgason and niece Jona Weitzel as well as Arnold Munro, Ruth Majury, Daisy Seaman, Gladys Booth and many great nieces and nephews. John was born at Bluff Creek, MB on October 23, 1910. He loved the outdoor life and fished and trapped for a living. He served in the RCAF from 1941 to 1945. After the war, he returned to fishing and trapping. John entered the McCreary/Alonsa Personal Care Home in 1993. We wish to deeply thank everyone who was involved in caring for Uncle John during his time in the Personal Care Home. Your caring and dedication were very much appreciated. A funeral service was held at St. Bedes Anglican Church, Kinosota at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19 with Rev. Paul Crossland officiating. Interment followed at St. Bedes Churchyard Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in memory of John Munro may be made to St. Bedes Anglican Church, Kinosota or to the McCreary/Alonsa Personal Care Home. Dobchuk Funeral Home, McCreary entrusted with arrangements.
