Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryYVONNE SHIRLEY RUDNICK (nee HARDY) January 8, 1923 - December 16, 2001 It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, grandmother and sister. Yvonne was predeceased by her husband John in 1992; her parents, Hubert and Louise Hardy; brothers, Jack (James) C. and Hubert L. Hardy. She is survived by her son Grant (Wendy) Rudnick of Aldergrove, BC; daughter Maureen (Robert) Dryburgh of Winnipeg; and daughter Kelly Norman; and grandchildren, James and Scott of Airdrie, AB; and her sister Donna McIvor of Calgary, AB. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Yvette Clouse of Long Boat Key, FL, sister-in-law Helen (Sid) McKay of Carmen, MB; and brother-in-law Wally (Phyllis) Rudnick of Winnipeg; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Yvonne was born and raised in Winnipeg where she lived most of her life, with the exception of a few short years that were spent in Regina and Toronto with her husband and children. For many years Yvonne and John also enjoyed their summer cottage at Lake of the Woods spending many happy times there with their family, friends and pets. She always made true friends wherever she lived and was always ready to listen with an open ear, assist with a willing hand, or care with a loving heart. Her graciousness, kindness and generosity will long be remembered by many, as will be her gentleness and concern for animals, whether it be her own pet or someone elses. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the St. Norbert Nursing Home for the loving care they gave to Yvonne over these last years. Their dedication and warm genuine comfort they each provided will always be remembered. A special thanks to Monique who selflessly gave her time and warm friendship to Yvonne. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so wish, they may make a donation in memory of Yvonne to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, R2L 1X3 or Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3C 4G2. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 19 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
