Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILFRED EDWARD HODGES 1925 - 2001 Wilfred (Wilf) passed away peacefully on December 13, 2001 in the Lake of the Woods District Hospital. Cremation has taken place with a memorial service to take place on Wednesday, December 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kenora Community Funeral Home in Keewatin, ON. A reception will follow at the Keewatin Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. Wilf is survived by his sons, John (Alita), James (Elaine), his daughter Lynda (Carl) and their respective children, Marley, Jonalee, Dean, Travis and Sherri (Jason), and Lisa, Brandi and Darrin-Scott, a great-granddaughter Chantal, all of the Kenora-Keewatin area. He is also survived by a brother Jack (Iris) of Winnipeg. During 1943 to 1945 he served in the Canadian Army in Europe. Returning to Civilian life in late 1945. He was employed in Keewatin with the Ogilvie Flour Mills, the Canadian Pacific Railway of Kenora. In 1967 he joined the Work Force of the Town of Kenora where he remained until his retirement in 1990. Wilf was an avid ouatdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and the countryside in which he lived. For many years he shared these interests with family and friends at the family camp at Willard Lake, ON. The family wishes to thank Dr. W. Cameron nd the staff of the Lake of the Woods District Hospital, especially those of the Dialysis Unit, for the care and consideration they showed towards Wilfred. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Lake of the Woods Hospital Foundation, Dialysis Unit, 21 Sylvan St., Kenora, ON, P9N 3H7.
